I’m Laurencio, a.k.a. Lalo. I’ve been working professionally as a video game programmer for nearly 9 years, with experience leading and managing programming teams of 7+ people. I’m passionate about playing video games, but even more about creating them and sharing my knowledge with others. In my free time, I enjoy cooking and making cinematic videos.

Worked on Avakin Life, fixing bugs and building new features.
- Worked in a codebase with more than 15 years of development
- Wrote features and fixes in Lua as well as Unity

Taught Betadev’s Advanced Unity programming course.

Little Orbit Sr Unity Tools Engineer Dec 2022 – Feb 2024
Mainly worked on the Unity editor tools for DC Dual Force, a DC Comics card game.
- Maintained and extended the custom Unity tool used to build the game’s playable comics
- Built new features for the Deck Builder and Card Collection
- Added features to the player inventory
- Fixed bugs across many game systems and the backend

Held two roles: CTO of the studio, and Lead Programmer on Alphaverse.
- As CTO, took the technical decisions and managed a team of 40+
- On Alphaverse, led a team of 7: hiring interviews, planning, sprints and milestones
- Defined the architecture and taught it to the team
- Turned client needs into features, ran code reviews and wrote release notes

Kekspace

KEKSPACE is a metaverse project rooted in the rich meme and crypto lore surrounding Pepecoin ($PEPECOIN). I structured the entire development process, from planning to architecture, built the frontend, led the team, and managed the client relationship.
